It was mortally embarrassing whenever she was caught like this; Mina always felt like a voyeur whenever Lily noticed her. (Just because she was voyeur-ing, albeit with benign intent, doesn't change how being discovered as one felt terrible.) She couldn't begrudge Lily for it, though. It felt nice to know that she paid enough attention to Mina to notice her even when she was magically trying to blend into the background rather than just her usual social camoflaugeāas happy as Mina was for Lily and as dedicated as she was to the cause, there was a small, selfish part of her that fretted over being left behind.
